We are proudly announcing that Dr. Katharina Lasota Heller (Managing Partner at LEXcellence AG) will be speaking at the discussion panel Blockchain/Crypto Winter at ITechLaw Conference: 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference & 50th Anniversary Celebration in Singapore. The panel will take place on March 9, 2023 from 13:30 to 14:30 SGT (Singapore Time Zone). Kasia will be discussing the current legal aspects of blockchain and crypto together with Katarzyna Szczudlik. The whole conference will take place on March 8-10, 2023. Dr. Katharina Lasota Heller has over 20 years of experience in IT, IP, and FinTech law. Founding Partner of LEXcellence –Swiss Law Firm in Baar (Zug). President of Swiss-Polish Blockchain Association. Dr. Lasota deals with issues related to Blockchain, FinTech, NFTs, and Metaverse on daily basis. As visiting professor at Kozminski University in Warsaw and HSLU in Lucerne she lectures on Blockchain, IP and Technology Law; an attorney at law admitted to practice in Switzerland and in Poland. Kasia received a doctoral degree in 2003 from Ludwig Maximilian University; as a scholar of the Max-Planck Institute in Munich. She is an alumnus of McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento California, where she finished her LL.M. Studies in 2004. Over the years, she has worked for several large law firms in Munich, Warsaw, and Vienna. Between 2010 and 2015 led a global compliance program of a South African Company and was President of EDiMA. Katharina is passionate about economic disruption and data-driven economy. Wife, and mother of a teenage daughter, loves skiing and hiking in the Swiss Alpes, and occasionally plays golf.
