The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is one of the most restrictive data privacy regulations in the world today. Based on seven principles, the GDPR is meant to protect EU citizens, whether a company doing business with European Union (EU) countries or someone looking for products and services offered from abroad. The same applies to the new Swiss Data Protection Act to enter into force second half of 2022.
